Perhaps you should explore what's happening to drain the battery. I assure you it's not inherent to the model, I've had and seen too many which have excellent battery life.

It is the model.
Have you read the 8 page thread on this issue?
This phone reboots randomly, shows 90% battery then reboots and shows 20%.
Constantly turns the radio off with "low battery" when its showing 75%+
I can't use it for more then 30mins after a full charge on both this and the old one, even after removing all applications.
battery has been changed and no difference.
This phone is garbage and rimm needs to recall it.

Sorry, it's not a problem across the entire model line.
You need to look at underlying issues that may be causing the reboot and battery drain.
You're not going to convince me otherwise, I know too many users with that model who don't have that issue.
If you need assistance with yours, please be kind and ask. You're not going to force to RIM to recall the model by continuing to fuss in here.

I don't believe it.
It's the phone and its not just me people at work with the same model have the same problem, this is my 4th BB.
That's great that you have a different model that doesn't have the problem.
even when the phone is erased and back to stock it has the same problem.
Get a new one, fine for a bit gradually gets worse, it also gets quite hot.
As long as you don't enable Radio it won't reboot that's great if you don't want to use it as a phone.
This is my 2nd phone and 3rd battery, it's the phone.
Please give me your insight on what is causing the battery drain on a new phone with nothing installed?

You can believe the Earth is flat, and that doesn't make it fact.

It is impossible to have a working BlackBerry device with "nothing installed".
