As you read this thread, you will read (just a few posts above!!!) about the fact that it already is released by RIM to the carriers, and it is the carriers who control release to end users. Please scroll up and read.

What carrier to follow if I have bought a blackberry phone from a blackberry dealer?? I have a gsm sim and can shift to any carrier has os 7.1 released for such users?

MTN in South Africa released this OS last night.  not what i expected, but hey, i still have a bb that is chowing battery life like nothing on earth......
