I just upgraded from 9000 to 9900 - first morning no alarm. Second morning no alarm.
Setting it the same as i did on the 9000. Not a difficult task. No sound. After waking up late and missing a business call I notice the alarm notification appears with snooze or dismiss but it wont make an "alarm."
I try and set for multiple times both yesterday and this morning to no avail.
I don't need 75k apps. I need a phone email and an alarm. AND most of all reliability for my business phone.
I do NOT want to ask SIRI to set my alarm but frankly she is more available than blackberry support!

So ATT says this is a known issue to Blackberry.
So far, here is Blackberry's only fix. I need to wake up with a different alarm clock, remove the battery for at least 10 seconds, place the battery back in the phone, then the alarm clock will work and can wake me up.

Update -
Solution given by provider is to get a different phone as there is no known fix.
Wish there was blackberry support to speak to.

i have the same exact problem. it seems like 60-70% of the time the alarm goes off silently. have you heard anything more about this or any potential fixes?

I have the same problem too.
How crazy is this? Such basic functionality doesn't work and can't be fixed? Really???!!
I've now had to buy a £3.99 alarm clock for my travels - something extra I didn't want to carry as a frequent flier, especially when my old Nokias have done this reliably for a decade.
Surely you can do better than this Blackberry???
Always had Nokias before - starting to regret giving you a try.
Any solutions to this very welocme PLEASE!!!!
