Unfortunately, Alinaari's solution hasn't worked out for me. Despite the suggested configuration, my problems with the 9930 have returned, i.e. random dropped Bluetooth connection, phone lock-up, etc.
So I'm back to using my old 9700 in my car, with the 9930's Bluetooth disabled. Until I pick up an Apple 4S, that is.
Nicely done, RIM.

Yes I will be saying goodbye to blackberry as well.
One thing to have a screw up like this; quite another not to even respond to this string. Quite unprofessional. NO wonder they are going down in flames .....
FYI I tried calling my provider, BMW & emailing RIM - all blamethe other, & give the a big run around.

When it was released, when I do software update it tells me your software is up-to-date
is there is a reliable link to download it.

This is an old release from three weeks ago, and is already loaded on my Bell Mobility 9900.
It does not solve the issues in this discussion. In my opinion.

I have been having the same problem with my blackberry bold 9900 and my 2011 bmw 535 xi. RIM says that BMW requires a software update for the new phone. I have bluetooth connections between this new phone and other devices. The only problem is the car.
One person on the other end of BMW service centre suggested updates were coming.
Call BMW for action. This problem won't get repaired long-term without a software upgrade and pressure on BMW.

I don't think this update had solved anything.
