Not sure if a solution has been found but I think there is a need to update your BMW ConnectedDrive Software to the latest version. I just tried that and it seems to work; connection is steady and also emails are coming through on my Office Messages.

I ahve the same problem and would LOVE to return the Bold 9900, but company provided, VERY frustrating.
