Delete all versions of the OS from your computer. Download .540. In the directory where the files are, delete vendor.xlm. Then from the same directory, load the OS using loader.exe. DONT USE DESKTOP MANAGER. Any of the other Blackberry user sites will walk you through how to install another company's OS. You have to follow these steps. Don't update using desktop manager.

thanks, I will give that a try. Do you know of another site where I can down load the .540. As I mentioned to Simon, its no longer present on the Vodofone website below.

There's a link here to Turkcell. Otherwise, go onto the Blackberry Forums site and go to the Bold 9900 thread, then to the post located on the top with the info on the latest version. Go through the thread and you find that people have posted this version onto various mirror sites. That is where I got mine. Originally, I was directed to the A1 Mobile site from Austria, but the file was snapped up by my virus software for some reason.

So after installing the new OS two weeks ago, i was happy to report that all was working well. Unfortunately, as of this weekend, my phone started dropping calls whenever it was connected to the car's bluetooth. It will freeze for a minute or two but i do not need to reboot the phone. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?? Anyone know what to do?

I took delivery of my new 2011 BMW one series the week before my new Blackberry 9900
after faultless , seamless, connection with my old Blackberry Bold the new 9900 freezes and drops out of connection every time I try to use it , have reconfigured and paired it six times in two days - no luck , it is just impossible to connect reliably.
