9900 restarting of its own accord

We have over 50 of these devices and many of them are automatically restarting, sometimes in the middle of writing/reading emails, at least once a day.  We sometimes also have JVM error 545 on the screen which either goes away when you restart or we have had the unit swopped out if it stayed on the screen.

Battery life is rubbish, and often unit won't recharge unless you take the battery out first.  Just noticed 1 small sticky label on the battery covering 2 terminals, should this be removed.  Also there is a small brown sticky label on the device to the left of the 4 terminals.  Have removed both of these to see whether this helps to make the device more reliable.

Most of our units are on software version 7.00 bundle 1465 but we are in the process of updating to 2406 to see whether this helps

Re: 9900 restarting of its own accord

While that's not a commonly known issue with the 9900, watch the upgraded devices and see if it persists.

If it does, you certainly should get a warranty replacement on those units.

Are there any certain third party applications which are common to those devices which are rebooting?
