9930 battery life

I bought my 9930 in April and I was very satisfied with its battery life. Now, I started noticing that battery drains very very fast, without me even doing anything, with only mobile antenna turned on. Is it normal for this battery which is slightly less than 6 months? Should I get a replacement?

Sometimes it's actually not the battery itself but rather the battery meter that is out of whack.  I would suggest you reload the (same) OS to your phone or look to update it to a newer one.

 

For either one of these choices, you'll need to plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone has been recognized, click Device at the top of the software then Update.  If BDS says that your phone is up to date, click View Other Versions and load the OS with Currently Installed beside it.  If BDS offers you a newer version of OS, I would suggest loading it.

Yes, it may be that because battery shows as full and drops to yellow and then red rather rapidly. As for software, I have tried loading 7.1 recently (prior to having battery issues) and it failed several times. I guess I'll try it again tomorrow. Thanks
