9930 keeps turning off

Hi,

My device keeps turning itself off and wont come back on, when I get the battery out and back in, the phone turns on and back off again. But when I connect it to my laptop via a USB cable the device does not turn off.

Can anyone help me please.

Please use plain text.

Re: 9930 keeps turning off

1. Any recently installed applications?

2. Try placing a business card or sheet of normal paper folded in half over the battery, and replace the battery door. See if the turning off continues.

3. Remove the media card a few days and see if it continues.

Re: 9930 keeps turning off

Hello J Sanders,

I do not have a media card on the phone and I have tried putting a business card over the battery and it still goes off.

I also have wiped off all the apps on the phone.

Thank you for your advice, if you have any more solutions please feel free to reply.

Many thanks.

Re: 9930 keeps turning off

Hello,

Everything i did failed, but this monrning I started playing about with the phone again and i realised that when I put the WiFi on, the phone stays on, but the moment I turn the WiFi off the phone goes back off.

Do you know why this can be fixed?

Re: 9930 keeps turning off

If suggest wiping and reloading the operating system to the BlackBerry. You'll need to use bbsak to do so. If you need help please post back. There are several posts in this forum with links to bbsak.
