9930 : the official OS releases

 

 

 

Dear all,

 

I am opening this discussion in order to reference all the OS versions that have been released by mobile phone carriers for the BlackBerry Bold 9930 (GSM+CDMA).

 

As a courtesy, I shall ask you to refrain from posting questions in this discussion.

 

RIM publishes OS versions to carriers, and after training & Q&A, carriers publish the OS. All those OS versions are available here:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

 

To this day, 13 OS versions have been released by 12 carriers for the 9930. Those OS versions are not compatible with the 9900 (GSM).

I am very disappointed, Bold 9930 OS is very late compared to Bold 9900 OS...

what did you expect ? 18 carriers sell the 9930, whereas there are more than 220 carriers that sell the 9900.

Keep in mind that the 9930 is a local version for a very small part of the smartphone world (USA).
