My Bold 9930 turns off the location services from "location on" to "E911 only". Other than manually what would cause this to happen? Power drained? System update? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Is your BlackBerry smartphone activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server through your place of work? If not, do you have an IT policy listed under Options>Security>Security Status Information?

It could be possible that the location feature has been disabled by your IT departmetn via an IT Policy. I would recommend contacting them to verify.
