Sorry to bring this from the grave... but what causes this issue?  I am helping someone out with thier blackberry 9900 who has had 6 replacements with the same issue.  Always happens when updating firmware.

How do I fix my bold 9900? I got an error 606 and followed the instructions in this forum. When updating I get a message stating "An error has occurred while downloading the BlackBerry® Desktop Software. Please try again."
