Hi BB users,
I am facing this issue on my blackberry bold 9780. I am not locked to any carrier.
"Application Center - Updating Application List...please wait........An error occured while updating the application list: Error 404"
I recently upgraded to this phone, i earlier was on bold 9000 and used the desktop manager to transfer my contacts, messages, etc from bold 9000 to 9780.
Request you to please help if you were facing the same issue and have already resolved it.

Hi sdgardne,
Thats exactly the error that I am encountering on my blackberry bold 9780.
I tried to follow the instructions by registering my BB again with the wireless network using Advance Settings - Host Routing Table.
After doing that i did a hard reboot. But unfortunately it still gives me the same error.
Can you please advise what could i do? (Does this have to do something with my service provider because i bought this BB factory unlocked).

Hmmm...OK, try adding another step...
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
1) Register HRT
2) Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you will need to contact your service provider for formal support.

Given the description of the problem in that KB, I'm out of ideas -- except for what I've already said...contact your service provider for formal support.
