Thanks hobnob,
Can i ask you where did you get the second battery from? I've been having battery issues myself and I'm just about ready to order a new one. Just want to make sure i get the 'good' battery.
Thanks.

My Black berry bold Battery also just keeps 5 hours then it is flat. Why does Blackberry bring phone on market that dont have Batterylife? We are using it for business we need long batterylife. When I bought it no one told me that battery only keeps for 5 hours power. I am so disapointed with My Berry.
I hope Black berry can sort out this problem.
I will just keep on using my Nokia e 52 that have got 3 days batterylife.
Does someone want to purchuse Blackberry BOLD 9900?

I have just got my BB Bold 9900, the battery doesn't even last 4 hours and this is without using it at all, what is going wrong!
Bluetooth, Wireless and everything else is off, all that is running are the normal mobile connections that need to run for the phone to work, not logged into any programs or social networks.
Can anyone provide me with any other tips or is it just a case that I really have got a duff battery?
Not happy as been a blackberry user for years and never had this problem!

Hi,
I too had the same problems and continuosly kept on trying all the options. I was going to change it when i saw light at the end of the tunnel when i came across an OS upgrade option on the India Website of Blackberry, but even that did not help the case much.
What finally did the trick for me was to switch GPS off and also to turn off auto update on Facebook. Now the battery seems to work for a considerably longer period. But yes, it;s performance is nowhere near to what the older Bold phones 9700/9780 used to offer.
Hope this is of help.
Thanks,
Sharvil

Hi,
I understand what you are going through. In fact i even changed my phone to 9790 for a couple of days, but came to know that it's battery is not much better than 9900, and the screen was just just too small after using 9900, so am back to 9900.
I suppose RIM really needs to find a fix very soon to this battery issue. the new battery does not do justice to any of the phones in which it has been fitted.
Rgds,
Sharvil
