BB not storing contacts

My BBbold 9700 is not saving any new contacts and is showing me only my SIM contacts. Also it hangs every now and then.

Any advice plz..............

 

one more thing my phone is purchase from Kuwait not from India.........

 

PPl here in BB centre saying they wont do it as it isnt from here..............

Hello,
Firstly try to do a battery pull as it is the first thing you should always do.

what does battery pull mean?

 

does it mean to just remove the battery and put it back?i'm new to blackerry and one more thing my phone hangs a lot to.......

 

i was thinking of formatting it...........

please advice

Yes battery pull is to just take out your battery and put it back on after about 20 seconds.
You could reset/format the device with BB Desktop Software and everything will also be backed up!
