Had my BB9900 last April 2012. Earlier during the day, I've updated BBM with its latest version. This afternoon, the Facebook app was also upgraded. This evening, the phone froze so I did a battery pull. After doing so, the phone won't reboot. No power. I've plugged it to a wall charger but to no avail. Before the phone died, it had a full charge.
I tried connecting it to a laptop with the BB Desktop Software running hoping that it'll bring back the phone to life. That hope is gone as nothing happened when I connected the unit to the BB Desktop Software.
What shall I do?
Device Details:
Carrier : SMART
Memory free before quick pull 74 MB
Note: These are all the details I can remember. I can't seem to bring back the unit to life to provide you with the information needed.

Try starting your device up in Safe Mode, and go to Options > Device > Applications Management.
Delete Facebook
Restart in Normal Mode.

It's really good that you've tried all the possible ways on checking the phone. When you do a battery pull, did it showed you the red LED when putting the battery back on the phone?
If not, All I can advise you is to get your bb device to the place where you've bought it from.. I mean to the authorized repair center for further assistance.

Thanks for the quick response.
I've removed and reinserted the battery. The loading bar DOES NOT APPEAR. Hence, I cannot proceed to the next step which is to hold the escape key leading me to do a restart on the Safe Mode.
:-(

I am encountering the same problem. BB 9900, SMART, phone died and it won't boot up. Battery pull also not working. Please let me know if you figure something out. I'll do the same should I find something. Thanks.

My Bb is fine now. Yes, i tried connecting it to the pc. Tried BBSAK and AppLoader too. In the end, what fixed it was using the PlayBook charger which seemed to have a higher power output and managed to wake my device up. It powered up after about an hour connected to it.
