BB9900 with PGP Desktop Standalone - No BES and no server please, just a normal user

Dear Sir,

I am a small business in need of secure mobile comunication and secure mobile storage.

I have no time to install a server of any kind.

Is there a way of using PGP/MIME keys for encrypting individual files? for signing and/or encrypting email?

Same question with X.509 certificates?

Best regards,

Bernard

Hey Blondeix,

Support for PGP or  S/MIME require the BlackBerry® smartphone to be activated to a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server.

Thanks.

Re: BB9900 with PGP Desktop Standalone - No BES and no server please, just a normal user

Thank you for your response hatchback. It looks like it comes directly from the BB9900 User Guide.

Is it official BB position to prevent the use of X.509 for stand alone user, by design means?

Is it reserved to corporate users? Any clarification on this?

Best regards,

Bernard
