Hi

I received a call yesterday in the evening and the screen turned white. I tried removing the battery + pressed alt, right caps and del but still did not work. Also tried reloading the OS although it has the latest version of 6.0.0.264 using application loader yesterday. It did not work either. But today morning I went to carphone warehouse, they tried to tweak it but in vain. They suggested it was a hardware problem and had to be sent to bb support (which takes 28 days!!) It was still showing a blank screen. When i reached home, surprisingl y the cell phone was fine (dun ask how). I restored the data which i had saved on the laptop. After a few min tried calling up a friend, and the cell went blank again. I just pressed alt, right caps and del n it seemed to be fine again. Tried calling up and problem still persists.

Whats going on!!!!!

Best way to get rid of these errors is to advance backup....wipe....nuke with bbsak....reinstall OS....reload from  backup only needed information (AddressBook, Messages)....smile...

Try locking the screen and press on bottom right corner of the screen and "p" button at the sametime.  It work for me

God bless you sir! I have been trying for hours to fix my phone and your solution is the only one that has rendered it somewhat usable!

What worked???  Touching the screen?  I tried this - i tried everythign, system reload, battery & sim pull, system wipe - screen won't stay on - keeps going white or streaked... what's the solution - a new screen i suppose?  Did anyone drop theirs before this happened or was it random??

Another fix is to open up the blackberry and reseat the screen cable connection careful avoid this if your phone is under warranty.
