BBM Problem on Bold 9900

Hi All.

I seem to be having a problem with my Blackberry Messenger. It seems that when I send a message it appears to send and reads 'Delievered' however the other person does not receive it at all. It does not even show me the 'R'

I have tried the following fixes:

-Taking Battery out whilst phone is on. I have done this three times but to no avail
-registering the handheld onto wireless network again. Didn't work
- checked network coverage. All good in my area
-tried reinstalling BBM twice but also didn't work.

I've been having this problem since 4pm UK Time yesterday, but I thought if I left it it may rectify itself but it didn't.

Another point is that I receive emails on time so there's no problem there

Hello Kiwii355,

 

Are you facing this issue with all bbm contacts or with particular bbm friends? Please check, whether BBM is of latest version or not, if not please get the latest version from BB app world on your device.

 

Re-adding BBM contact, may also help to resolve the issue, so note down the PIN and delete contact and then re-add th PIN.

I haven't noticed any UK data or BBM issues being reported, and since you've already deleted and re-added BBM, I'd just wait it out, or even check with O2 to make sure they specifically don't know of any data issues.

Hi, yeah its for all contacts. I don't even receive recent updates.

I have been trying to find others with issues but seems no one else is having issues except me which is rather annoying.

I have spoken to O2 they say everything is well on their end.

I wonder if you went about 3 miles from where are now, knowing you were connected to a different cell mast tower, and tried again...?

 

If you do that, while there, do another powered on battery pull reboot and test.

This is odd, really odd, people are able to see my recent updates and are able to send me messages but I don't receive their messages but when I send a message to them they receive but my phone tells me its just delievered. Same with them, when they send me a message it says Delievered and not received.

I know this sounds confusing. Sorry to confuse you

Perhaps it's just some server quirks for now, they'll clear up and all will be fine.
