BBM Red Clock

I have been having the same red clock issue with my blackberry messenger since I first got my 9700 back in November. (Sending a message, and instead of getting the checkmark with the D or R, I get a red clock.. and sometimes the message goes through after 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 3 hours.. etc if at all) The problem does not happen consistently, but I have wiped my phone, reloaded everything, updated, gotten a new sim card put in my phone. I have called support repeatedly from blackberry and from my carrier (bell) and they are unable to help me with my problem.

 

Has anyone else had this problem? And if you have, how do you fix it?? Please help!!

Hiya!

 The clock is the universal symbol for "please wait"

 

How much free memory do you have in your device? (options>status)

The reason I ask is, with low device memory.. your going to have latency with your device.

 

Also, how many bars of signal strength do you show on average?

Under file free it says 125226789 bytes, is that the correct one? Otherwise I have 119.3 MB of free storage space.

And it doesn't happen consistently, I can have full bars or 1.

Still having this problem, months and months have gone on with the red clock problem.

 

has anyone else had this problem before? and if so, how did you fix it?!?!?!?!

Not sure if this will help anyone else because I have a Torch not a Bold, but it could be similar....

 

for anyone else seeing the red clock appear when trying to send...this is what I did...

-select 'Manage connections'
-select 'Service Status' at bottom of page
-highlighted the 'connection' line under "Blackberry Internet Service"
-selected the button to the left of the touch pad to bring up a menu
-scroll to and select "Mobile Network Options"
-beside 'Data Services' it should say 'On' (mine was set to 'Off')

As soon as I did this it all started working perfectly again. I'm not sure why mine was set to 'Off' all of a sudden, but Blackberries seem to have an annoying habit of coming off 'Lock' and either dialing someone or changing their own settings....thats what mine did.

Hope this helps someone.

There are may several issues

1. Check your data Plan status (BB icon)

2. Check your SB - try revoke it - go to Options->Device->Advanced System Settings->Host Routing table and in this menu click on BB button and choose Register Now! - after receiving confirmation from BB try again
