Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Re: BIS issue last week or so

Yep ive been doing battery pulls for the last week at nights, it fixes it for a little while but BIS soon disappears again........

What do you reckon, handset or network issue?

Re: BIS issue last week or so

It could be either.

The simplest thing to trouble shoot is to get a new SIM card.

Re: BIS issue last week or so

Ok so i now have a new sim card and the problem is still there.

Doesn't matter what area i'm in i am getting a very intermittant BIS signal, it is now constantly coming and going, 3G signal is near perfect at all times.

So far i have- Re loaded o/s 6 software

                         Obtained a new sim card

Contacted 3(service provider) who say no issues in area.

If i do a battery pull i can get the BIS signal back but it usually disappears soon after again.

I did a diagnostics test when there is no BIS signal and here is the report.

Re: BIS issue last week or so

The BIS signal and the 3G are the same thing.

Re: BIS issue last week or so

Ok. This HAS got to be a service issue.

Will you please call your mobile provider's tech support  and you need to DEMAND that they ESCALATE this issue to RIM's tier two tech support.
