Re: BLACKBERRRY BOLD 9000 NETWORK ISSUES

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Best!

Re: BLACKBERRRY BOLD 9000 NETWORK ISSUES

I've bb bold 9000 since July 2009 I unlocked it 6 months back. It worked fine until last two months. I've tried all, namely - reinstalling os, hard reboot(removing battery for a minute and starting again), rubbing the sim with white eraser..

so far nothing has worked and the device continues to malfunction.

For me the problem has started somewhere before 2 months from now (early September 2011). Then I was overseas for month of October and it worked perfectly fine there. Now I'm back in Canada on Rogers network and the problems propped up again. It keeps loosing network when I m in office or home. Outside also its not as reliable as it used to be.

The network sign top right corner keeps changeing to GSM, EDGE, GPRS, blank, SOS, even when the device is lying at the same place untouched
