After dowloading BB App World and trying to open, I am getting message BLACKBERRY APP WORLD is having trouble connecting to BLACKBERRY APPWORLD SERVER, verify your network connections and try later. What is wrong?

Do you have, from your carrier, a BlackBerry-level data plan? Sometimes, generic data plans are not sufficient. I suggest contacting your carrier.

I am also having this trouble. As a result of reading this thread I have just talked to my carrier (O2) and was told exactly this - my data connection needs swapping to the BB server. They have arranged the change for midnight, so we shall see.
Maybe my wicked landlady will turn into a princess too, or I suppose if I had to, I could make do with Sandra Bullock. I wonder if O2 could... hmmm perhaps not
