VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED,   JUST RECENTLY MY BRAND NEW BOLD 9900 STARTED THIS ISSUE.  WHEN MAKING A CALL OR ANSWERING A CALL I CANNOT HEAR ANYONE ONTHE OTHER END,  PLUS THE SCREEN GOES BLACK AND CANNOT GET SCREEN TO SHOW AGAN WITHOUT ENDING THE CALL.  HOWEVER IT WORKS FINE WHEN YOU TURN SPEAKER PHONE ON.  THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING THAT SOMETHING LIKE THIS COULD HAPPEN SO SOON!

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi Guys,

I am having the same problem I got a replacement recently, its been just a day since i got it and the problems already begun. I am so **bleep** frustrated its wasting my time.

My 9900 is running on OS 7.0 Bundle 1346 (v7.0.0261, Platform 5.0.0.464) If any one at all can help do let us know.

Is there any true solution to this problem or is the so called Bold 4 9900 a defective output? RIM should be answerable to this query and find a speedy solution. I can go around to the service center and getting the piece replaced all the time. And i really don't want to switch to Apple but if I don't get a speedy fix then that's the only solution left.

I have had my bold 9900 since September and just a couple of weeks ago this started to happen to mine too.  I love the phone, but it's annoying and considering the price.......should not be happening!

Any help is appreciated.

Update - found a site that suggested if you have a flashlight app, it might be causing the problem. I had deleted my flashlight app some time ago but it was still saved in my appworld. So I deleted appworld and re-downloaded from the BB site. Have not had the problem since. Keeping my fingers crossed!

bought firs fone on 6th decmeber this year, and till 27th, had replaced 4 fones.. several trips to service center, and shopkeeper.. i gave up and asked money back... same problem on all 4 fones... RIM is a lazy company.. we all should gang against RIM.. lol, love bold 4 but its not worth the money they are charging for...

Hi - this would be an application you download that works as a flashlight from your phone. Having said that, mine did start doing it again the other day. So I have backed up and tried updating my operating system (7). Not sure if this will work. Again, I am very upset about. If you can still change your phone, consider it. I can't.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I will be able to change as I got as I christmas pressie but was bought more than 28 days ago so this is going to be a fault with the phone. do you think if I take it in to the shop they would be able to fix or is it just a fault with the phones. so annoyed about this especially cause the phone cost 500. would be buzz be class as a flashlight app???? can't believe this so loved blackberry until this has happen and didn't want to go with iphone but looking like it
