Hi,
When I use my BOLD 9900 music player it works for a few songs and then it just stops working (never on the same song). After is "freezes" tt won't play any of my other MP3's. I have to pull the battery and reboot.
Does anyone else have this problem or know of any fixes?

Me too.
The music just stops. It seems to still be playing, but have no volume. Sometimes I can stop the track, and then press play again, at which point the volume returns, sometimes I can't use any controls - so have to pull the battery. Very annoying!!
I do believe there is a further issue, in that after a few tracks the quality of sound changes for the worse too...

Hello,
To resolve the issue of the media player freezing on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 smartphone, please try to back up using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software and perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software. For further instructions, please see the following KB articles.
For Windows®: "How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows" http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
For Mac: "Perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer" http://bbry.lv/J0UN1U
Hope this helps.

Hi Frank
Have finally got around to trying this, but can not get past the "Update" stage as using Desktop software V7.1.0.32 you do not get the "click View other versions in the lower left corner" that is suggested on KB11320.
Any further thoughts would be gretly appreciated

Hi Roonster111,
Since you were unable to reload your BlackBerry® Device Software using the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, please try the steps in the following KB article. "BlackBerry Desktop Software is not required to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Smartphone." http://bbry.lv/SSMso8
Thanks.

Hi Frankie,
Used the non DTM system - worked well, thanks!
Haven't had too much testing time, but so far so good. Will give it another day or two just to be sure and let you know how it's working.

Frankie
The reload seems to have cured it. Used the music player all evening, no freezing or loss of quality - would declare it fixed! Thanks for your help.![]()
