i am having this problem i have nothing on sensor even i have removed the screen gaurd but the problem is not solved

I'm an IT tech for a large oil company in Houston. I had never seen an issue like this before on any other blackberry device. My user has a Bold 9900. He had software version 7.0. I am currently downloading the update (7.1.0.998 at this moment) and it is taking quite some time - even connected using a very fast wi-fi signal. The file is only 56.8MB so it should not take this long. Can't tell if it's a carrier issue (T-Mobile) or a device issue. Once the update is complete. I will see if this fixes the issue. It does not seem to be anything physical (dirt, cover, screen protector). It seems software related. Hopefully this update will not take the entire afternoon.

And 2 hours later. My issue is fixed. Looks like a software glitch.
