When performing a device backup through Desktop Manager V.6, I get the following error: "There was an error backing up. There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the backup. Verify that the device is turned on and connected"
Can anyone help please?

I suggest trying the following:
Different USB cord
Different USB port
Reboot your computer
Reboot your device
Uninstall/reinstall BlackBerry Desktop Software

I tried all of what you mentioned and still same problem, I keep getting the same error over and over again.

Is your device still telling you its not connected? Does Desktop Software detect your device?

Yes, I’m still getting the same error. When I connect me device the Desktop Software recognize it and I can sync it and everything except backup.

Do you have a micro SD card in your device? If so, remove it then try the backup.
If this works, there could be an issue with the data on your micro SD card and you should save the data on it and then format your card.

I removed the SD card than made a backup I'm still getting the same error. I even made a Security Wipe but unfortunately that did not solve my problem also.

Backup the data that you think you will need then when you are done you can try a clean application load of the device software. Then restore your back up and this should correct the issue for you. Below is a link for a clean reload of the device software.

Thanks man but nothing worked, I had to return back to the older version of Desktop Manager.
