Black Screen / Not Dead Pixels, what is it?

A couple days ago I noticed the middle top of my BB Bold 9700 Screen was black, its been increasing and decreasing throught the last couple days, I ordered a new lcd screen, will that fix the problem, I'm not sure what the problem even is.

This is indeed a hardware issue with your device. I believe replacing the display will be able to resolve the issue.
