Hi 

I recently got my Blackberry Bold 9780 wet and although it has dried out and comes on I cannot see anything as the screen is staying completely black - any suggestions what I should do?

Water damage is unpredictable.  This won't guarentee a fix, but remove the battery asap and do not charge it.  immerse the device in rice for several days to attempt to get rid of the moisture.  Only time will tell but if this doesn't work, you can check around the internet for other tips concerning water damage, but I recommend you replace that device if possible.
