Can someone please advise me on what could possibly be the problem of my blackberry 9790. I jsut bought the new phone for two weeks.
I noticed that the battery never gets fully charged irrespective of how long it takes to charge it.
Also, the talk time is just 2 hours.
Lastly, the back of the phone is always hot especially when calling.
Would appreciate suggestions please.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your device battery.
How are you charging your device - via the wall charger or via USB connected to a computer?
Do you see the lightening bolt icon when charging or a plug icon? Have you removed and reinserted the battery to reboot it when connected to the charger?
It's not uncommon for the device to become warm with usage.

Thanks for your reply. In response to your observations, 98% of the charging has been through wall charger.
During charging, i usually see the lightening bolt icon, but when fully charged, it changes to a plug icon. However, immediately i remove the charger, its either the battery % drops, or if it remains fully charged when unplugged, the talk time has never gone beyond 4 hours. Furthermore, i have never removed or reinsert the battery to reboot the phone when connected to the charger
Am tempted to assume its the battery, but on the other hand, i want to give room for more suggestions so as not to encounter this same problem even if i decide to get a new battery.

You could test to see if the battery is faulty by reinstalling your device software.
Be sure you backup your data first as the clean appload process as shown in KB11320 How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows will purge your data and start over fresh. It's a good way to test for software issues.
Before you restore any of your data, test the battery and see if the same drop happens after it's charged. If it does, then chances are your battery needs replacing.
