Occassionally when I plug my charger into my phone, I get an error message and the phone doesn't start to charge. I have to do a battery pull and wait for the phone to start up again before I can plug in the charger and have it properly charge. Anyone know how to fix this? Here's a screenshot of the message I get:

How are you charging your phone? Are you plugging it into your PC, a car charger or a wall charger? The fact is, USB and car chargers are less than perfect when it comes to charging your phone. The preferred and most trustworthy method is the wall charger. Another issue is whether you're using the charging cord that came with your phone or another cord instead. Some cords, and this seems quite strange to me, are no good for charging; they're built to transfer data only. If you're using one of these cords, that could be your problem right there.
So make sure you're using the supplied cord with the supplied charger plugged into a wall outlet. That's about the best advice I can give you. I hope that helps you. ![]()

This error occurs no matter what charger I use, whether it's the original oem charger that came with the phone or another charger I bought after. I definitely think it's an error with the phone and not the charger since it happens with the original charger as well. ![]()

That would be a reason to return the phone for a warranty replacement (assuming you've had the phone less than one year).
I recommend to do a data backup with BlackBerry Desktop Software and BlackBerry Protect then call Rogers and tell them you need a replacement.
I've been around these forums for a while and I really don't think you'll get any other advice on this one. There is clearly an issue with the charging of the phone, whether it's the charger, the phone or the battery. One way or another, I'd be looking to getting it replaced.
I hope that helps you. ![]()
