My BlackBrry Bold won't display my new messages. The new message icon on the "desktop" shows that I have received new messages (currently 7). But when I open the SMS and MMS icon, it doesn't display any new messages. I can send messages, but it won't let me see my sent messages either. Also, there is no asterisk on the SMS and MMS icon (which should appear as I have new messages).
I have tried rebooting several times to no avail. Any suggestions?

what are the settings that appear in message application
goto MENU ->General options
and post them here so that we can maybe help you

Try the following:
No data will be lost when doing the following: pull the battery while the device is ON.
Replace after a minute, Let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't work :
Go to options advanced options, Host Routing Tables, click to enter. DO NOT click on any listing.
Press menu key, and select register now.
You will get a verification email. Then go to email settings and send service books.
You will get an email per account. Repeat the battery pull and see if the problem is
resolved
