Blackberry 10

Good afternoon,
I have recently purchased a BB9900 handset, I believe next year BB will be releasing a new operating system, BB10. Will this be just for new devices or will there be an oportunity for current owners like myself the option to upgrade their current operating system please.
Thank you.
Regards.

Re: Blackberry 10

BB10 will only be available for those new devices with the hardware designed for that operating system.

Re: Blackberry 10

Thank you for your reply.

Just to clarify if I may.

Are you saying that BB are to bring out some new handsets compatible with BB10, thus the current handsets will not be compatible or will some current phones be able to up date to BB10?

Thank you.

Regards.

Re: Blackberry 10

Thank you for your reply. I have just changed from Sony after a difference of opinion with regards to the O. S. Bit of a long story, so I won't bore you.

I shall await and see what progresses in the coming months.

Thank you.

I am saying that your current 9900 will not be upgradable to BB10. None of the currently produced BlackBerry devices will be upgradable to BB10.

BB10 will be available on the new handheld devices being produced (as well as the current Playbook).
