BB10 will only be available for those new devices with the hardware designed for that operating system.

Just to clarify if I may.
Are you saying that BB are to bring out some new handsets compatible with BB10, thus the current handsets will not be compatible or will some current phones be able to up date to BB10?

Thats obvious, new device will be intorduced, details you may find at the same location where you read about OS 10,
Further about the compatibility of OS10 with the current Devices depends, so wait and watch..

Thank you for your reply. I have just changed from Sony after a difference of opinion with regards to the O. S. Bit of a long story, so I won't bore you.

I am saying that your current 9900 will not be upgradable to BB10. None of the currently produced BlackBerry devices will be upgradable to BB10.
BB10 will be available on the new handheld devices being produced (as well as the current Playbook).
