I'm coming from a Nokia E72 where I used to have my whole imap mailbox in sync with my nokia, at the moment I only get mail on my blackberry if it's a new message, is it possible to somehow sync the whole of my mailbox so that what is on my desktop / server mailbox is on my blackberry, not just new mail ?

I have sync working if I delete a message on the blackberry it goes from the server, but I want to get all my messages, legacy and new in sync.

I'm using a blackberry bold 9780 with an imap mailbox service.

Nope, sorry, only the new mail will push to your device on a personal BIS account.

For a personal BIS account, there's no sync of mail and mail folders, only your push email and reconcile of deleted, read, and sent messages, in most cases.
