Thanks for the tip. However, my phone isn't functioning at all - it is stuck in the software update... So I can't use it to ping or anything.

I don't like the sound of "wiping"

Will it remove everything?

 

Update: I was able to turn it on, enter my password and everything looks normal -- except that it then switched right to a blue screen saying to type in my BBerry ID.

 

Alas, it doesn't recognize my BBerry ID!

Be careful how you enter it. And try several times after which maybe re-boot it again. One would think that to not be an issue but ya never know.

So I tried to update my Bold 9900 and it got stuck on 15% so I ended up pulling the battery and the SIM, and then I put it back together, and then this morning I tried alt+Aa+del and there was this sand clock loading screen and now it is white with a scrolling menu that says "Blackberry Platform 5.0.0.469", and I can't click on anything, an error message comes up. What do I do?

Try pulling the battery but not the sim card then count to 30. This may clear any residual memory hang. If it comes back up then before trying to update again go through your apps and disable any that are not originals.

My problem is slightly different.


I was updating it to a slightly newer version of OS7.1 via the desktop software. It's worked fine and just needs to reboot. However, when it finally does come back on after the reboot it goes to a white screen displaying "App Error 602" with only the "Reset" option - no other way out.

Please, for the love of God, could someone help me with this?
