Blackberry Bold 9900 Typing Issue

My Bold 9900 has recently developed a typing issue with email and notepad. After a few words, an automatic line feed is inserted and sometimes followed by a few random characters. Attempting to correct this using the delete or backspace key results in endless line feeds that cannot be stopped with aborting the email. Has anyone experienced this before?

Welcome to the forums and sorry to hear about your issue. 


In this case we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry® smartphone to make sure it is running the latest version and there are no issues with the OS.

Once you have backed up your BlackBerry smartphone please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone software.

Unfortunately the selective restore of the OS did not solve my problem. The Blackberry is now virtually useless,as I can only read emails but not respond or compose new mail. Typing anything now automatically starts random line feeds which requires ALT+Enter to abort.
