Blackberry Bold 9900 backup fail

As stated above, my blackberry wont back up completely, it reaches "social feeds" then it disconnects. i logged out of facebook and twitter, and the error still appears.

Im trying to back up on a mabook pro, also i viewed other posts with errors, and they are using the same mac desktop manager.

 

Can someone let me know if the error is with the mac software or otherwise

Same here, which is really annoying. 

 

I need to do a security swipe to be able to log in to Blackberry ID but don't want to risk anything before backing up my data.

I've already posted a message about this but no one bothered answering.

 

When is RIM going to address this ?

 the problem is the 'Social Feeds' app. The best way to fix the problem is to delete the Social Feeds app from your device using the application manager on your device. Also, another thing I did was to delete 'Smart Card Options' from my device using the Desktop Software. This article explains how:

Social Feeds app was a problem indeed, but some very helpful person from O2 told me to remove the sim card, wait a tiny bit, put battery back in and plug in phone to computer while still off, then switch it back on and magically the phone just backed up ! (Obviously follow the steps on the screen...)

Now that's done ! However the Social feed app isn't really useful so might as well delete it...
