I have noticed that when I connect the device to my computer for backup and disconnect, I have contacts missing from the contacts on the phone.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Are you backing up using the Backup tool in the BlackBerry® Desktop Software or are you synchronizing your contacts with an email program on your computer? What version of BlackBerry® Desktop Software do you currently have installed?

My apologies, what I do is attach my device to the desktop software and it performs the update automatically, after it is completed, I would then notice that contacts are dropped.

Thanks for clarifying, but could you also please verify that it is an automatic backup that is occurring and not an automatic synchronization with a program such as Microsoft® Outlook® or a software update?
