Hi, can anyone help?
I have blackberry maps on my phone but when i go to 'find location ' where i am' i am just getting 'searching for satellites' constantly. Do you have to subscribe for some type of GPS to be able to search where you are even though this is a separate option from 'start GPS Navigation'?? Also if i have the blackberry data package through orange will this not include GPS, they can't seem to give me a definitive answer?!

Hi nozental and Merry Christmas!
You do require a data plan to use the GPS.
Make sure you go to options advanced options GPS and make sure that location on, and
location enabling are set to yes. Start BBmaps and start the GPS then walk outside and
see if you can get a lock. I sit near a window, and it only gets a lock every now and then.
Let us know.
Thanks

Hi,
I am using blackberry 9000 simulator.
-I have checked the GPS options as location-on and location-enabled.
-I have my mds runnign and am able to browse
When I start BBMaps it gives a pop-up as -
"A network error was encountered. Check your server settings "
I have also tried by searching local address etc.. but nothing works.
Please tell me how to use blackberry map in my simulator.
