Blackberry LCD Problem

HUGE problem with my new Blackberry Bold. I actually bought this phone around two weeks ago from LetsTalk. I contacted LetsTalk, Blackberry and AT&T. They have each said that this was not covered under warranty, and as long as I have the insurance with AT&T, I should be able to get a new one with a $125 deductible.

That being said, I might not have phrased it properly or I might have. Either way, they all kept saying that the LCD was broken. However, the outside is neither scratched or cracked, yet they kept asking me if it was. I was wondering if I could possibly get this covered under warranty and if I would be able to get a new phone without charge.

Yes, I did drop the phone. The first and only time I have, and the LCD gets screwy. :smileysad:

Re: Blackberry LCD Problem

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

There is no ruling we can give you regarding warranty. Even if we were RIM (which, btw, we are not), we could not give you such a ruling. By contract, your warranty coverage is provided by your service provider -- they have the final say. It is with them that you must plead your case. If you can convince them to escalate into RIM, you may be able to get some ruling out of RIM...but not via this support forum. Sorry.

Good luck and let us know!
