Blackberry Messenger SOOOOOOOOOOO Messed Up

[ Edited ]

It's always had it;s problems. Sometimes it would lose network but never for long.

Now for the past 6 hours I have been having so much trouble with my BBM

Messages get delayed. Some don't even go thru. It's a HUUUUUUUUUUUge lag. Repeated messages. Constantly for the past 6 hours

I called up Tmobile UK and they made me delete all ym service books and do a battery pull. It seemed to have sorted out some of the messengers. The UK ones it seems. But my friends in Chicago and Canada still a huge lag. Massive repeats of messages and even if they have read the message the D next tot he tick doesn't turn to an R

It's just a huge mess. They even did a battery pull but nothing.

Emails, texts, web browsing. All working perfect.

Is there any way to check if BB RIM services are having an issue and it's just overseas thats messing up etc?

I'm in london UK. TMobile network.

Oh and a side note. When I am GPRS Tmobile its a bigger lag than it is if I have my WIFI on.

When the wifi is off it's again slow and very very inconsistant

I have never had 3G on unless I really need it.

Re: Blackberry Messenger SOOOOOOOOOOO Messed Up

Hi,

I can confirm that there is no issue with BBM, buit I have no solution for you.

Do you have BES or BIS?

I am confused by your statements.

Are you using it ok over GPRS and Wifi or does it ONLY work (and very slowly) over wifi?

An easy solution is to get a friend with a BB to send you an BBM test when he is next to you (your or different carrier - it doesnt matter. But its better if he is on the same BES as you - if your on a BES).

If his works fine and quickly then its your HH, or your BES  has restrictions or not, or your carrier.

If his is BES, and the same carrier, and works fine, then its your HH.

1) Backup the entire device

2) Wipe it

3) Upgrade/Reload the OS

4) Restore the device.

5) test again.

Let us know how it goes.
