Blackberry Messenger not working - Help Needed Urgently

I have a blackberry bold 9930 which I brought from USA. I am on T-Mobile in the UK. I have been using the messenger and all other services for around 4 months now and suddenly my messenger has stopped working. I can use whatsapp and facebook but my messenger wont show any updates or let me send a message or recieve a message. Before this problem started I installed the new update for the new blackblerry messenger which carries customisations such as bubble colours and the like. It worked fine for a few days then suddenly this Friday it stopped working after experiencing some heavy lags. Can anyone help me out here?


The phone is on BOLD 9930 on 7.1 OS bundle 457 (v7.1.0.163, Platform 5.1.0.137) which is the latest update

Hello Hassan-54102 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

What happens when you go to send a BBM - do you get the small red clock? Does it get the check but no D?

 

When one of your BBM contacts sends you a BBM, what do they see - a check with no D?

 

Re-register your device on the network as shown in KB00510 then reboot your device by pulling the battery.

I can't sent a message via messanger it won't allow me to add a contact at all.

greetings, my bbm isnt working, i upgraged and rebooted, turned my wifi on but all it keeps saying is cant set up or temporary bbm server error

Hello michmosh85 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

To clarify, you send a BBM request and it remains pending? 

 

When you try to send a BBM do you get a red X? 

 

It sounds like your device may not have an active BlackBerry Data plan which is needed to use BBM.

 

I would suggest you call your mobile network carrier and ensure your data services are active and your data plan includes BBM access.

Are you able to use BBM without being connected to Wi-Fi? 

 

Did you upgrade to BBM 7 and are stuck at the log in stage with your BlackBerry ID?

I can't restore my bbm contact on my new Bold 9900 using my email fa**bleep**ey@hotmail.com. It tells me my "email is not linked to any BB messenger account". But I have been restoring my contact using the same email whenever I buy a new BB. HELP!

yes i was able to the previous bbm without wifi, but i upgraged it and now its not setting up or doing anything
