Blackberry claims there is no space

Blackberry bold 9790

9 months old

Free memory: 182588318 bytes

Apps installed: Whatsapp, viber, facebook, twitter, screen muncher. (none in use during problem)

All of a sudden my blackberry wont let me add anything on to it, images, music etc. It keeps saying there is no space even after I tried emptying it. I tried turning it off and on, nothing works!

Re: Blackberry claims there is no space

Hey Rayan_EM,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

What is the free memory for application storage?  This can be found under Options>Device>Storage.

Also when did the issue start?  If you remove the last installed application and restart the BlackBerry Bold, are you then able to install other applications?

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.

Re: Blackberry claims there is no space

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The free space is 175.3 MB. I found out that this is because I use a mac where things don't free space when deleted unless you empty the trash can. But now even after emptying the trash can there is still no space, but if I delete something now and empty it then it frees space, but anything that was deleted before doesn't count anymore.
