Bluetooth

With the Bluetooth enabled , when I get into my care and start the car, the phone automatically connects and I have an "active call" which I cannot disconnect either from the handset or the controls in my car.  I have now had to disable this function on my Blackberry Bold 9900 (touch screen) to not have it automatically connect.

Is this a phone issue or car issue?  Trying to figure out who to go to?

Re: Bluetooth

Hi gwen59 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!

This is a standard Bluetooth feature. From the Bluetooth option, remove the check mark from the Connect On Power Up. This should stop the BlackBerry smartphone from automatically connecting via Bluetooth.

Thanks.

Re: Bluetooth

That I have done.  Still does not answer my question or address my problem.  Why does it automatically go to "Active Call" when I have not initiated a call from the phone on controls on the steering wheel.

Again, is this a "software" problem with the phone or a problem with the car that the dealership has to investigate?

Thank you.

Re: Bluetooth

I've had the same problem & after reading Cpt Sweatpants Answer I believe she Said: It's a Bluetooth Problem (Feature) that we have on our BB Bolds & If we Uncheck the "Connect On Power Up" it should Resolve the problem.

I will try2 do this & see if it corrects it for me.

Thanks Cpt Sweatpants!

Re: Bluetooth

If you are currently connected to a Bluetooth audio device, such as a car kit, the audio will automatically play through this device.  This is a standard Bluetooth feature and is not limited to the BlackBerry smartphone. This feature is active, regardless of which phone you are using.

Thanks.

Re: Bluetooth

I have just started having the very same problem so googled it in the forum.  Unfortunately I cannot see any option on my Bold 9900 that says Connect On Power Up.  Please advise me where this option is - I'm at my wits end.

Thanks!
