Bold 9000: Unable to Unlock Device

Hello,

 

I am a recent owner of a Bold 9000.  I set the password and apparently missed the number of times I had to type it back into the BB.  I get an Unlock box, which when I click on, gives me the message: Enter "blackberry" to continue: 

I tried entering "blackberry" and nothing happens.  I tried entering my password and nothing happens. I tried a hard reboot and it did not work. 

Can someone let me know how I can unlock the BB.  Thanks.

Are you hooked up to a BES server? If so then the password can be reset remotely by the Blackberry Manager console.

 

After you enter in blackberry does the screen say "attempt xx of xx"?

If you are on BIS the only other option is to wipe the device.
