I bought a second-hand Blackberry Bold 9000 out of a local store here in Romania and it shows 507 and I am unable to solve that error using Desktop Manager.
I heard that those handsets are samples sent to developers for testing purposes. Is there any way I can reinstall blackberry OS or even to send it to Research in Motion asking for a replacement device ?

I don't believe you will get BlackBerry to replace the device. You bought it second hand.
Error 507 simply means that no OS is recognized on the device. That is normally pretty straightforward to overcome.
What are the errors you're encountering when trying to install the OS?
