Hi De_prince

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

It may be possible that memory card datas are corrupt .If your device is unable to repair then Format it on your device or on a PC then have a try.

Re: Bold 9700 Memory Card issue

Hi De_prince

You should try formating the memory card .but it will delete all data within that memory card card. So if you don't have the backup of our memory card then  try to do a back up using a PC if that allows.

To format your media card on a device ,  From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, select Options > Device > Storage > Press the Menu KeyFormatIn the pop up window select Media Card. A warning message appears, asking if you are certain you would like to format the card. Click Yes to continue.

Re: Bold 9700 Memory Card issue

Hi De_prince

That's sounds trouble ! It seems the problem is within your device and it may be a hardware or a software issue. So to rule out any software issue first of all do a complete backup of your device using BlackBerry Desktop Software then perform a Clean Reload.try it because it won't take much time.

KB12487 : How to back up BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows.

KB11320 : How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device software using BlackBerry desktop software for windows.

Please try it and let us know.

Re: Bold 9700 Memory Card issue

Thanks for the help.

My device all of a sudden started telling me "Media card storage cannot be accessed due to fatal errors". It would hang when trying to synchronize. So I followed your chain to find out that I don't have one installed and when I disabled the memory card access, it all worked again. Don't know how it got enabled in the first place.

Thanks again.
