Bold 9700 - Problems with PDF files

[ Edited ]

Hi -

I have had 4 Blackberries and on the last two: Bold 9700 (current model) and previously Curve, I was able to view PDF files.

I can no longer do this, unless I view them as an email attachment. i.e. I can not download and store the files I wish to view.

My Word and Excel viewing (and editing) works fine - I am on the Free versions as supplied with my BB. Can anyone explain why the PDF software does not work ?

Many thanks in advance.

Please use plain text.

Re: Bold 9700 - Problems with PDF files

To view PDF files from the media card (downloaded files) you must have a third party PDF viewer, such as PDFtoGo, Repligo or BeamReader. All PDF files attached to an email are viewable with the native BlackBerry operating system.

IF you were able to do this in the past, you had one of these third party applications installed.

Now, OS7 devices have the premium version of DocumentsToGo with PDFtoGo built in.

Okay, so BB 9700 (OS6) users should dispose their phones? Cool!

PDFtoGo is available for OS6 devices. Scroll up and read before you get too snarky.
