Bold 9700 e-mail set-up issues

I am trying to use my old business blackberry as a personal one for my wife. Its been unlocked and works as a phone but for e-mail its set-up as an enterprise account which does not reconise personal e-mail accounts. How do I change the set-up to allow use of persoanl e-mail?

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

 

 To use email services on our BlackBerry we need a specific BlackBerry Data Plan from our carrier , contact your present Carrier if you don't have it . Once you activate BIS in our account your device will offer you the personal email setup or Internet Mail account option.
