Okay so I've recently updated my BB to OS6 and I've lost the option to change the browser type as I had on OS6.
One particular websites I cannot get working are m.carphonewarehouse.com
carphonewarehouse.com
If anyone knows how to rectify or has experienced the same problem, please let me know.

Correct, the new OS6 browser automatically recognizes the best browser setting needed (and I'd like to have the option back to choose, as well).
Can you try going to the normal caphonewarehouse website, not the mobile site?

Thanks for replying.
I have tried all websites for carphone warehouse and neither of them work. But it did work on OS5 and definitely works on another handset.
I may go back to OS5 until the UK version of OS6 for Bold 9700 is released.
Thanks again.

But what happens, when you go to the website... blank? or a "404 not found" page or what?

Well, you can certainly downgrade the SO back to OS5, but there is no such thing as a "UK version" of OS 6. All operating systems are developed by RIM, and released to the service providers for certification and acceptance. If, say OS version "6.0.0.424" is released in the US for Tmobile, its the same OS in any country and there's not a difference other than maybe a language pack variance at times.

I have also tried accessing the carphone warehouse website and the page doesnot load. Although the web browser shows it has loaded the mobile website of carphone warehouse, the page is completely blank with no error or sign of missing content.
EDIT: After trying to access the website from my phone and posting the above here, I tried accessing the website from my pc, which showed the website was under maintenance. I think this is the issue. Atleast for me. ![]()
